Terms and conditions
1. General
- These general terms and conditions (GTC) outline the general provisions for providing category B driving education, the associated actions of the driving school and the CBR/BNOR practical exams. They apply to the driving school mentioned in the lesson agreement, hereinafter referred to as 'driving school'.
2. Driving Education
Driving lessons are given by:
- qualified instructor(s)
- with a minimum duration of 60 minutes
- for students who are authorized to drive
- for students aged 16.5 and older
3. School Obligations
The driving school ensures that:
- the student is offered appropriate driving education
- the student is trained as well as possible for the CBR/BNOR practical exam
- when agreement is reached on applying for a practical exam, it is submitted to the CBR within 14 days
- the date is communicated to the student as soon as possible
4. Student Obligations
The student must:
- adhere to the agreed date, time and place for the driving lesson (the instructor will observe a maximum waiting time of 15 minutes from the start of the driving lesson)
- pay the full lesson price if the agreed driving lesson is not fulfilled without timely cancellation
- cancel the agreed driving lesson in time for urgent reasons by notifying the driving school at least 24 hours before the start of the driving lesson
- pay the full lesson price for untimely cancellation (as described in point 4.2)
- follow all instructions from the driving instructor
- ensure that he or she has all necessary documents for the intermediate test and CBR/BNOR practical exam
- ensure payment of the intermediate test or CBR/BNOR practical exam to the driving school if point 4.6 is not fulfilled
5. Payment
- Lesson packages may be paid in two installments agreed in advance
- The student must, in the case of individual lessons, pay the lesson fee in cash to the instructor before the driving lesson
- The driving school is not entitled to increase the lesson price/package price during the duration of a lesson agreement
- If the student remains in default of payment after a reminder, the amount owed will be handed over to a reputable debt collection agency
- In case of non-timely payment, the driving school is entitled to suspend driving lessons and exam reservations
- Payments via bank transfer must always be made with the first and last name of the student
6. Practical Exam / Intermediate Test
- If the practical exam/TTT is postponed by the CBR due to weather conditions, the student is still liable for the costs of extra driving lessons up to the new (test) exam date

The student is not liable for costs for applying for a new practical exam/TTT in case of postponement of the practical exam/TTT if he or she cannot take the first practical exam/TTT because::
- The student is unable to take the (test) exam due to illness, provided that he or she makes this known to the driving school within 8 days after the (test) exam date by means of a medical certificate
- A family member up to and including the second degree of the student or the driving instructor has died within 5 days before the practical exam/TTT or is buried or cremated on the day of the (test) exam
- The lesson vehicle or an equivalent type is not available at the (test) practical exam or is rejected by the examiner
7. Termination of Driving Education
- Student can cancel individual lessons per section 4.3
- Student can cancel packages for medical reasons with certificate
- Non-medical cancellation requires mutual agreement
8. Liability
- Student not liable for third party damage during lessons
- School not liable for intentional damage or substance influence
- School not liable for fines if student unauthorized to drive
9. Complaints Procedure
- Disputes arising between student and driving school will first be submitted to the driving school which will mediate in the dispute
- Unresolved disputes will be referred to court
- Dutch law applies to lesson agreements
